Our History

American Academy was founded in August 2002 by a group of experienced educators who decided to provide quality education for the residents of the Gurabo area. The directors and officers at American Academy are educational management professionals with decades of experience managing and operating educational institutions, camps, and child care centers. They have founded and established American Military Academy, Kids 'R' Kids (Quality Day Care Center), Camp Mabo, Sound of Music Girl's Camp, and Camp Caguax.

Illustrating a three-generation family dedicated to education. The leadership of the American Academy's founders is commited to establishing solid academic institutions that comply with today's educational technological and social needs.

We will be holding classes in a well designed temporary facilities while we await the completion of our new, state of the art building, located at Ciudad Jardín Resort & Country Club, Road PR 189 (access from Highway PR-30 exit #7), Km. 10.1 Barrio Mamey in Gurabo, Puerto Rico.
